Outside, they're stupidly high up with wind whipping at them and the heat slowly rising from the meteor. There's no helicopter in sight, but there's an emergency ladder to climb to even higher ground ("ground") if they want to. It doesn't look like there's anything up there at all, but it's there.
It has apparently elected not to continue talking in its predator-like approach. The sword it takes out looks vaguely similar to the one Sora is holding, brandishing it. A flash shows a few of the tentacle at its back aiming for the gang as well. To tl;dr: You can fight, keep going up to a small platform, or, idk, jump off the building ig. ]

[alex is much smarter than literally all of us. but she's right. the grip is familiar, and there's a sudden confidence once more at the feel of a weapon in his hand. it's not the keyblade, but he trained with swords before that. he's without his magic and his abilities, but...it's better than nothing.

[ Alex does sucessfully escape upwards. It feels like she's climbing up forever... she eventually gets there, though, and while the meteor is getting closer up on high, from this height there's not much she can do or see right now.

can she see anything differently from up here? on the platform sora's fighting on, or on the building they've come from? in the apparently endless nothingness below them?
[he can't see what's happening, but his instinct is to block the sword which means he's hit with the appendage. the second response is to try and cut it off though before dodging out of the way.]

You guys have actually managed to not touch the goo itself the whole time and I have been laughing since. Anyway it hurts twofold with the burn and now he's also got to explain the tentacle shape of his burn on. Rolls dice. I'll let you decide.
