[ She reaches for her crutches, to push herself up-- then pauses, glancing towards Fox. ]

Why the sudden curiosity?

[misstrust]

I just know that sometimes I get tired of wearing a mask, that's all.

[ She flaps a hand. ]

It's not anything too important.

[retellers]

I've gotten used to it.

[misstrust]

week 4, sunday

[retellers]

[ dorothy will receive a message telling her to head to the inn.

fox is waiting in the lobby. ]

[misstrust]

[ Good thing Fox wasn't like "I'm anywhere upstairs" or Dorothy would have several faces to make.

And, with a tired smile, she waves and leans on one crutch. ]

I told you I'd find them.

[retellers]

[ they smile back, though with a similar air of tiredness. ]

Congratulations--you really weren't kidding.

[misstrust]

Even I take my promises seriously.

[ And she's just going to move carefully over to a couch so she can sit. ]

... So here's one more: I intend to protect this Faction. If one more murder needs to happen to do that-- that's still the case, isn't it?

[retellers]

... Yes. No one from our team killed anyone this week.

[misstrust]

I thought as much.

[ She glances down at her lap. ]

I... don't really want to do it, but I'll take responsibility for this-- the others have dealt with enough.

Would there be any possible way you could tell me if you notice someone with splintering nova next week? Is that something you can do?

[retellers]

... Based on past experience, I probably wouldn't notice until Wednesday. But if I do, I can keep in mind that you volunteered to deal with it.

[misstrust]

Please do. I'll at least let the others know that they don't need to do anything.

[ As she rubs at her temples. It's fine. At least it's more of a mercy kill this way. ]

Right. Well, that's all dependent on me being the one to sense anything, though.

[misstrust]

Otherwise I'd just have to kill someone just based on a hunch or someone completely fine?

... Well, that would be my luck.

[retellers]

... We'll have to see. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst, I suppose.

[ And she shrugs. ]

There's no point in worrying about it now, I know. But can I ask... has our team fallen below the threshold for nova gathering, or are we managing somehow?

We should be fine. There isn't a minimum amount of nova each team has to gather, or anything.

[misstrust]
