It's hard to say exactly, since we tend to sense it more after the fact than in the moment, but... hm. I would say that the "missions" are the most consistent--however, a lot of last week's collected nova came after Saturday. Less this time around, though.
I don't know if killing actually contributes to gathering nova, but if it does, then I imagine it's not that much, relatively speaking, or else we all would've noticed.

I can't speak for what's going through others' mind, although it's possible that Viridian opened a can of worms by suggesting that killing could get back one's memories.
