[ she doesn't know them very well, but there's no reason she can't be pleasant. she waves them over to where she's set up a little tea party for them. effort expended in return for an audience, what a pain.
I wish I could say I'm just here to win your heart over with some tea, but I was hoping we might talk. You already know why I'm interested in what happened with Shima, right?
[ she did talk to claude about it, so... they must know about what happened between her and rabbit. ]
[ she smiles briefly, but it falls flat with a sigh. the almost sing-song lilt of her voice drops to something more serious. ]
...I'm trying to understand why it's happening. Since you guys can't seem to talk about it freely with each other, I thought I'd come ask what you know about why nova keeps breaking.
[ how many of our npcs are japanese... anyway, she gets the impression that this is going to be more difficult with a leader she hasn't Befriended, but sometimes, regrettably, you have to try. ]
Well, it's about as much as you've probably figured. I detected that Laine Brick's nova was splintering, and since the Leaders aren't capable of seriously harming a participant, I— [ they swallow, almost imperceptibly ] —called on one of my team members to remove him.
Unfortunately, no. I wasn't completely surprised, but only because I knew of your case, with Cater. I didn't see any signs before then that it was going to happen again.
[ if anyone was going to notice, it's probably good that it was fox? she sighs. ]
Figures it wouldn't be that easy. I guess the only way we'll know for sure if someone killed thanks to this splintering business is if we catch them, huh?
[ she doesn't sound thrilled about this—there's no 'good' choice for executions. ]
Can I ask if you learned anything new, at least? I know when we kill you guys get some memories back too—so maybe there's our silver lining.
I don't think it is... [ that's not promising. but she hands him a plate of cookies, if he'd like one, mulling aloud. ] ...It's still good news though, right? As long as we take the right steps here, we can all come back and restore everyone's nova! And all that good stuff.
week 3, wednesday
eventually fox shows up at the entrance, knocking politely to catch her attention. ]

Good, good.

[ she sounds sympathetic about that much. now that she's gotten to know rabbit—she doesn't think it was an easy thing to ask for her. ]
Did you notice any signs that it was happening? I was trying to keep an eye out last week, but I couldn't spot anything in time...

... Yes. Hopefully, even if things are difficult until then, things will work out in the end.
