There's a slight problem. Too many people were breaking rules.

[ so that's what the warning was about... and the weird glitching? ]

What, too many people were holding hands? Or—I'm guessing we were giving our teams away too freely?

Other rules affected it too, but it was mostly the team one, yes...

[ she sighs. ]

The other Leaders and I are trying to fix the damage, so I'm sorry if we seem a little out of it for a while.

[axecessory]

Don't apologize, you're doing your best. Try not to work yourself too hard, okay?

[ she reaches out and gives her a pat between the ears, making up for no-touchy week. ]

I'll have to be more careful—I heard we could exchange up to three times a week, but maybe that's too generous?

[retellers]

[ head pat..... ]

I think it should be more that... you shouldn't be trying to fill up all three spots every time. That number doesn't mean you're still not breaking a rule--it just helps keep the amount down so that it doesn't cause too much of an effect.

But if everyone is doing the same thing, then it'll still pile up.

[axecessory]

I guess that's what we get for trying to skirt the rules, huh? I'll be more careful.

[ lest we break the game week 3 ]

I'm guessing that's why things have gotten so... weird? Last week my memories felt fuzzier, but this week everything feels off. [ what's with the glitching? ]

[retellers]

Pretty much, yes. We're going to try to get things back to how they were, but I'm not sure if we can fix it entirely.

[ she sounds so apologetic. ]

But as long as people are careful, it shouldn't get too much worse.

[axecessory]

[ rabbit it is literally not your fault ]

I believe in you—I'm sure things will be right as rain soon enough!

[ she's... not sure, actually, but it's nice to say and hope so. ]

In the meantime, I've been trying to figure out what in the world happened last week. I spoke to Shima, and it sounds like his leader gave him about the same directives you gave to me. I really was looking for a sign of any more nova breakage during the week, but... all I could think of was that weird dream Izumo had. [ otherwise, she's got nothin. ]

I didn't sense anything at all... I thought that we might even get to have a peaceful weekend for once.

[ instead they got the exact opposite. ]

I wonder if it shows in different ways then? If that was the only hint that we know of.

[axecessory]

Maybe so...

[ it's hard to tell—even that nightmare is just a guess on her part. it's possible she missed something, too. claude hadn't exactly broadcast his symptoms publicly. ]

Shima apparently hadn't noticed anything weird, so no luck there. He told me what team he was on, so I guess I could ask his leader directly if you didn't sense a disturbance either...

[ a nod. ]

I think his leader would probably be willing to talk to you about this.

[ time to harass fox! ]

I'll go hassle them after we talk, then. I'm guessing you haven't heard anything about what happened to Raven either?

[ they shake their head. ]

It could be a similar case, maybe, but it looks like Renzo-san wasn't involved. There's no point of him hiding that if he admitted to everything else.

[axecessory]

[ she nods—shima left them plenty of information to work with, and the two deaths looked largely independent of each other. ]

I just hope it isn't another case where someone's killed for their own reason... it sounds like practically everyone got a memory back this week, so that means we must be doing something right.

[ without? having to murder? hopefully? ]

[retellers]

[ hm... she'll remove her hood and mask. ] It's possible. And we can't ignore the possibility that losing certain memories might make someone more likely to kill.

[axecessory]

[ it's nice to see rabbit's cute face, even if the conversation stays dour. ]

Mmhm. I just have to hope that everyone will stay reasonable about it.

[ she sounds calm, though not very hopeful. she does, however, sway a little so she can bump shoulders with rabbit. ]

—Don't worry. We'll figure it out before things get too bad.

R-right... And, um, at least more people know about it, so it's not just us keeping an eye out anymore.

Yeah, hopefully if there's other signs, we'll start learning how to see them.

[ the question is how do they stop the splintering at all? what's causing it? hilda leans a head casually on rabbit's shoulder as she mulls aloud. ]

Have you guys figured out anything else about this... monster? Or had any luck reading the Realm's memories?

[retellers]

No luck on the memories... um, it might be harder to go that route for now, since everything is kind of messy at the moment. [ the glitching, and things, ] But for the monster, I'm mostly wondering if we can lure it here somehow.

[axecessory]

[ maybe when they stop breaking rules they can get back to fixing the realm. ]

Oh? Do you have any idea how?

[retellers]

It's attracted to nova, so... really, if we collect enough, it'll probably just come straight towards us without us doing anything extra. [ ... ] Except then there's the problem of it just coming straight towards us.

[axecessory]

[ ah. ]

Oh... maybe we should be figuring out how to be prepared when it shows up?

[retellers]

I'm still hoping it won't be a fight... you guys still don't have powers.

[axecessory]

That's true, but there's plenty of strong people here. [ not her, but. ] Plus, you guys have your powers, right? Hopefully that'll be enough.

I guess so... [ rabbit please sound more confident about your power usage. ]
