Of a sort... her vessel, rather. I don't know the details—this had occurred years before I awakened.

I recognized her from the memory we shared almost immediately - it was hard to tell where we were, at first, but that was what led me to you.

So... [ scooching a little closer tbh he's so interested. on the edge of his seat. ] What was...or, is she?

[ he thinks for a bit, wondering how to explain this. ]

... In the beginning of the universe, two beings were born. The God of Destruction, and then to balance her, the God of Creation.

She is destruction—in a sense, she is the very concept of death itself. She holds the universe together, at the same time that she intends to devour everything within.

[ that makes enough sense. xie lian nods, considering the 'interactions' he had with this creature - either seeing it, or hearing about it, or when it destroyed that entire area.

...seems about right, yeah. ]

...Then... our lives were saved by that falcon - the one speaking with you, known as "Ra". Were they...?

Yes. That was the Creator, 'Ra'. In my universe, he is the one who created the rest of the world, and humanity to be its owner.

[ xie lian smiles, a little, folding his hands in his lap. ]

The way the light protected us... it was unbelievably warm. It makes sense, now.

...He must be important to you.

He is the one who taught me all I know.

[ ah! ]

There's someone like that in my life, too. He's the Heavenly Emperor, the one in charge of all the gods, and has always been there to guide me - when things go astray, he is the first person I look to to try and understand.

Not exactly... There were only two gods at the beginning of the universe. In a sense, there have only ever been those two.

I was born as a mountain goat, but was made into a third god under very specific circumstances.
