It's not that enough people from each team has to die--it's that they must remove enough people and gather the nova from said act, under specific circumstances. [ i.e. on thursday night. ] Specifically, at least two.
... Not saying that trying to kill someone was a delight [ because no!! they still don't like that!! ], but, well. Cater would've died, regardless of your actions.
Well, I wasn't involved, so take everything with a grain of salt, but...
[ they tap their finger. ]
Her nova was splintering. If left unchecked, her memories would permanently break, leaving her as good as dead. Removing her and sending her to this dimension was the only way to stop that, and to prevent the effect from spreading to others.
It's less about keeping secrets and more the rules we're bound by. Again, that bit about not revealing who's on our teams is rather strict--even more so for us--and discussing too much easily approaches that area.
Oh, less "a chance" and more that that's what happened, presuming everyone has been telling the truth. I knew who it was before it even happened, since their team member told one of mine.
Just that I couldn't exactly ask them about it at the time, since that would out my team member, who had yet to share their affiliation at that point.
[ fox had to sit through all of last weekend with full knowledge of both murders, it was terrible. ]
And what if we, as those who can share our teams freely without consequence, were to keep the living updated on how many kills each team has performed? That way, they can plan accordingly, and coordinate in a way to avoid unnecessary death?

[nudges some more cookies at them!!]
I can tell your exhaustion is getting the better of you. Please eat, Fox.
[THAT SAID. . .]
And what happens if a Thursday passes where no one dies?

Then we can all sleep in on the weekend for once?

. . . I must confess, you're making me feel a bit guilty, now.
[for trying to kill Soo-Won]

Why is that?

If I recall correctly, Master Shima said something similar about Master Laine.
[. . .]
Can you Leaders tell when someone's nova is "splintering?"

Tell me, Fox. Do you and the other Leaders share the things you learn about the Realm with each other?
. . . or do you keep secrets from each other?

[a nod]
Then there is a chance that another Leader knew about Lady Cater's splintered nova and requested that Lady Hilda remove her, correct?

And I imagine that's exactly what happened with Master Shima and his team leader as well.
How troublesome that the "living" cannot share this information freely between themselves to coordinate cleanly without so much risk.

Unfortunately so.

[ this thread is on sunday, al, you don't have messaging yet ): ]

[also looks at Shima's team being Fox, looks directly at Fox, prepares a new audience request--]
I'm not entirely certain. If sending messages through the Leaders doesn't work, then we'll need another method. That may take a bit of research.
