I would not assume a "never", necessarily. Few things in the world are truly impossible.

Though--and I say this as a personal belief, not as anything this Realm has said--there is always a price to pay to bring back the dead.

[reconnective]

[...considering he himself has paid a pretty big price to bring back six dead people before, he just kind of looks elsewhere.]

Okay. If...maybe we just don't know it yet then. [he'll have to put a pin in that for later.]

Can I ask why you believe that though? Some people seem to think death is just the end of it no matter what.

[retellers]

It is simply something I feel. If there's a reason for it, I don't recall.

[reconnective]

That makes sense. Even if you don't have your memories now, you can still feel things.

[...] ...it's not true that the only way we can help get your memories back is through killing, is it?

[retellers]

I don't know. I don't believe so, though--at the very least, I don't wish for that to be the case.

[reconnective]

I don't want it to be the case either. [mostly because that sounds kind of terrible.] But if the Realm really can be changed by the things we put out there, can it respond to you guys, too? In a positive way.

[can the leaders just yell at the realm not to let killings happen?]

[retellers]

Perhaps. We cannot actively change it, so I don't know.

[reconnective]

Does it feel like the connection to the Realm itself is getting stronger? Some of you have said it talks at you and in your head and stuff, but I was wondering if that's changed since this started, too.

[retellers]

I haven't noticed any particular change in our connection specifically.

[reconnective]

[this leads to a very important question that you can ignore until later while you're running an event.]

I don't see why I wouldn't...?

I don't want to assume what your connection's like. Not everybody's always aware of the things they're feeling.

[retellers]

I believe that if something changed, we would notice.

[reconnective]

I hope you're right. [give him a moment to debate this next question.]

...if one of your own members is targeted, are you guys awake for that? Or is it just if someone from your team's killing someone?

[retellers]

Though I cannot be certain until it actually happens, it's likely we wouldn't awaken for anything but if we ourselves were marked for death.

[reconnective]

Is there any way that we can stop you guys from being marked or whatever? Or is it just...something that'll happen, like with the others?

[retellers]

[ they shake their head. ]

In that regard, we are no different from a participant. However, do not fear for us. We have more means to defend ourselves with than you do.

[reconnective]

I don't doubt that. [powers...] But what happens to the people on your team if something does happen to you?

[retellers]

I'm not sure. Perhaps they would be reassigned.

[reconnective]

[...hm.]

One of the others said you could fight. But what's your power? If you can tell me.

[retellers]

I have quite a few. More than the others, most likely.

[reconnective]

Do you think they were ones you had before? Or did the Realm decide it just really likes you? [a beat.] I know you said before you didn't think you were human, so I guess I was just wondering.

[retellers]

They are primarily ones I had before.

[ the realm apparently looked at goat and went "you're overpowered enough, no powers for you" ]

[reconnective]

[the realm was probably smart.]

But you don't remember much about how you got them before or anything, huh? [it's odd, actually, how the realm dictated stuff to the leaders as a whole.] Do you think being a goat suits you?
