Wolf said something about the six of you not being from this place either? So... you only got here a little before we did?

The Realm isn't normally a place where people live, it just... connects places together. So if we were somehow from here, I'd be really surprised.

[chanteuser]

[ hmmm. ]

Did you know the Realm existed before you got here?

[retellers]

I don't remember, but... going by what I know here, probably not. It seems like the Realm mostly just existed on its own without much interference. It's why an attack on it is so unexpected.

[chanteuser]

You don’t remember?

[ h-hm. ]

... So it’s all weird and we’re all in the same weird situation. Sort of. On a general level, even if our roles are different?

A little, yeah. We're all stuck here until the Realm is back to normal.

[chanteuser]

So there really is no reason for you to mess us around, or us to mess you around if we want to get out of here. [ it sounds like their end goals are one and the same? ]

Was it just like this when you guys found yourselves here? Like... the locked places, and all the food in the kitchens, or was that part of your preparation work?

[retellers]

Well, some of it was the Realm, and some was us. Like we had to give you all the food.

[ sometimes you are a grand, mystical entity that did not keep in mind that people need to eat, apparently ]

We can't get into any of the locked buildings either--oh, not the planetarium though. We locked that one ourselves since it wasn't ready to be used until today.

Was that just to keep us out or because it was in a state?

[ she's kinda curious! ]

Wait-- does that mean you have to replace the food as we use it? Maybe we need to do a cooking rota or find some way of using it efficiently if that's the case.

[retellers]

Mostly to keep you out. We didn't want you guys to keep calling to us while we were, um, preoccupied.

[ basically, they didn't want to get annoyed by pings when they couldn't see them. ]

Oh... don't worry about it! I wouldn't want you guys to hold yourselves back like that.

... Preoccupied with what...?

Yeah, but... let people loose with a lot of food and we're going to make, like.... 50 waffles... maybe. [ ahem. ]

Aha, it was nothing important, it was just why we were late to greet you.

[ they look at their waffle. ]

You must really like waffles.

They're... easy to make so I just kept making them. It was kinda therapeutic.

Well... at least everyone likes waffles!

Mm, sweet things are good... I think this is something you could probably buy at a cafe.

You do have a lot of fruit in the pantry. It's a shame not to use it.

[ if she had fancy plates and a lot of icing sugar maybe she'd have bought it over all dolled up and with a shot of espresso. ]

I wonder if I could've used more sauce though...

Maybe you can try that next time?

Do you like... parfaits?

... I don't think I've ever had one. [ a parfait... ] What's it like?

[retellers]

They're really good! You usually fill them with fruit, and... well the rest can depend. You can use ice cream or yogurt or things like that.

A "build your own dessert"?

[ fruit... and ice cream sounds good. ] How do you like having one then? If there are so many different kinds of ways to make it, give me a clue!

Oh, well... strawberries are really nice, aren't they?
