[ good news! this time, alex won't be receiving a scare. instead, she receives a message telling her to go to the forest.

... where in the forest? it doesn't say, oops. but if she makes the attempt, then after a while... no, i'm kidding, goat suddenly shows up out of nowhere again. sorry, alex. ]

[chanteuser]

[ she comes

VERY CLOSE

to spinning around and smacking them with the book. but she stops herself. and just gives them this look in her icons. ]

[ alex can't see it, but they look back blankly because they already forgot that alex (and literally everyone they've done this to) doesn't like them suddenly appearing and therefore they see nothing wrong with this. ]

[chanteuser]

[ GOAT ]

... Please. Please. Make some noise.

[ sometimes............. even without amnesia, your memory is bad ]

... Ah. My apologies.

[chanteuser]

[ exhaaaallllleeeee. ]

Alright...

[ ... and then she holds out the drawing book to them. (yusuke voice) art. ]

What is this?

[chanteuser]

You were drawing the other day. They had some books in the bookshop which have some tips and tricks for improving, if you decided you liked it enough to keep going.

[ ... ] Unless you're also in the market for more hobbies than just drawing?

[retellers]

... No. That is very thoughtful--thank you.

[chanteuser]

Are you planning on sticking with it?

[retellers]

... I should try. It is one way to honour those no longer here.

[chanteuser]

[ oh ]

... That's a nice idea, drawing pictures of the people we've lost. [ goat... good goat... ]

[retellers]

... Although my skills are still not very good, though they may simply be offended...

[chanteuser]

It's the thought that matters, right?

Or you could write their names and draw flowers for them around it. That would be more permanent than just leaving flowers somewhere for them.

[retellers]

... That may be simpler. And it would allow the flowers to keep blooming where they are, as well.

[chanteuser]

Plus, I think flowers are easier to draw for a beginner. Compared to people that is.

[retellers]

It is difficult to capture people's likeness...

[chanteuser]

Right? People are difficult to figure out. Even on paper.

A flower is always a flower, but a person can be sad, mad or happy just by tweaking their eyebrows or something. It’s complicated.

[retellers]

Mm. Perhaps the exterior is a reflection of the interior--a flower lives its life simply.

[ i'm sorry for goat suddenly getting metaphorical ]

[ i love goat. ]

Or like when people talk about roses looking pretty but having thorns? Things aren't always what they seem.

[retellers]

That is true as well. As they say, still waters run deep.
