Yes, of course. I figured you would have more. It would probably be impossible to think of everything right on the spot...

I talked to Cervantes-san after. . . he said that something bad might happen back home if we didn't collect all of the nova.

[retellers]

[ they nod. ]

It's why it was so urgent that people had to be brought here in the first place. It wouldn't have taken you all if so many weren't in danger.

[exercisms]

[Ah. He doesn't like that, but.]

If that's the case, we'll just have to collect the nova and help everyone.

[He's worried, but. The people here seem pretty reliable.]

The reason we have teams now is that it's a competition?

[ they nod. ]

I think that the Realm wanted to make sure everyone would have definite motivation, in the chance that even the whole save the universe thing might not be enough.

[ they frown at that. ]

[He frowns, too? Who wouldn't think that was enough?]

I thought maybe it was a way of making it fun, and taking everyone's minds off what's happening.

[retellers]

Well, I hope it'll make it fun. I'm not sure if everyone here will think that since they're understandably pretty unhappy...

[exercisms]

Sometimes, people take things out on others even when it isn't their fault.

[At least, he doesn't think any of this is Rabbit's fault.]

And it isn't always easy for people to trust strangers.

[retellers]

I was actually expecting a worse reception than what we got... so I'm glad about that, at least.

[exercisms]

Cervantes-san. . . he also thought you were being vague, when you talked about how we're going to collect the nova.

[Throw him under the bus why don't you.]

[retellers]

It's not being vague, it's... basically, something like this has never happened before. It's why it affected the Realm as badly as it did--it didn't know how to defend itself because it has never been attacked like this.

[ they frown. ]

So because of that, some of this is very... "we will know when it happens." We don't know what the physical form of nova looks like because before now, it hasn't been seen by people, but we know it exists.

[exercisms]

[That makes sense to him? It really does. There are so many things he didn't understand until he saw them. So he nods.]

I see. Um. . . another question I had is, do you know why I and others aren't able to use our powers currently?

[retellers]

It's another side effect from the nova loss. The Realm couldn't really bring you guys fully intact because it's weak, so your powers don't work here.

If we restore more nova, there is a possibility that might change, but that's just a guess. I don't actually know for sure.

[exercisms]

. . . Why did the Realm bring someone like me? Other than having psychic powers, there isn't very much I'm able to do. It even says so on my profile.

[retellers]

We don't know why it chose everyone. I have no idea why it made me a Leader.

[ like, literally, they have no idea if they are remotely qualified for this job. ]

But... whatever the reason, I'm sure you'll do well, Shigeo.
